A supercar for limitless freedom: the Audi R8 Spyder. Remarkable performance, dynamism and captivating design all combine to offer a breathtaking driving experience. Both when open and closed. The automatic soft top roof can be opened at vehicle speeds of up to 50 km/h. At the push of a button, the lightweight cloth roof is stowed away completely under the carbon fibre compartment lid, in just 20 seconds.

The 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 FSI engine with 397 kW of power and a maximum torque of 540 Nm will get your heart racing from the word go. With a sonorous soundtrack, the high performance supercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. The 7-speed S tronic dual clutch enables lightning-fast gear changes with virtually no break in propulsive power.


Convincing without words, the R8 Spyder is a design statement. The striking Audi Singleframe grille with honeycomb grid and the wide air inlets testify to its performance credentials. The LED headlights convey excellence in form and function. The R8 Spyder is just as formidable to hear with the Audi sport exhaust system in dual-branch design with trapezoidal tailpipe trims.


With its monoposto cockpit design, it’s no coincidence that, on climbing inside the R8 Spyder, you get the feeling of being behind the wheel of a race car. The interior boasts refined materials, precise workmanship and innovative technologies. The Bang & Olufsen Sound System features 13 high performance loudspeakers, including two speakers in the R8 sport seat head rest, for an unforgettable sound.

Audi magnetic ride

A standard feature of the R8 Spyder, Audi magnetic ride offers individual suspension tuning. Depending on the selected mode, the damping forces are adjusted to the corresponding driving situation in fractions of a second. Thus achieving uncompromising driving behaviour and significantly more comfort and dynamism. Three suspension settings are available; auto, comfort and dynamic, which are operated via Audi drive select. 

quattro all-wheel drive

In the R8 Spyder, a newly developed quattro drivetrain is deployed. A water-cooled electronically controlled and hydraulically actuated multi-plate clutch at the front axle and a mechanical differential lock at the rear axle enable controlled and sporty driving behaviour while maintaining outstanding traction. The drive torque can be variably distributed between the front and rear axle as required. In addition, the wheel-selective torque control counteracts undesirable wheel slip through targeted braking actions on all wheels, enhancing driving dynamics and improving directional stability.

Audi virtual cockpit

The Audi virtual cockpit, a standard feature of the R8 Spyder, is a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster that replaces traditional dials. Driver information, navigation data and infotainment functions are displayed in brilliant high resolution, with three different layouts possible at the touch of a button. Sport mode is designed exclusively for Audi performance models, and places the rev counter in the centre of the screen.
